How it works

From the first sketch to the final piece.

The process typically takes 1–3 weeks from sketch approval, depending on the medium you choose.

    Place the order

    Choose a service, submit the form, and place the order. You'll receive a confirmation email as soon as it's placed.

  2. 02

    Sketch confirmation

    I draw a composition sketch and send it for approval within 2 business days. One round of revisions is included before creation begins.

  3. 03

    Creation

    The whole process is made by hand — normally a wood-carved piece takes 10–15 business days, and an oil painting portrait takes 15–20 business days.

  4. 04

    Finish & shipping

    Wood-carved pieces are sealed with matte varnish; oil portraits with gloss varnish. Each portrait is carefully packaged and shipped via USPS Ground Advantage. Tracking and insurance are included for peace of mind.

Common questions

Can I make changes after the sketch?
One round of revisions on the sketch is included. Once carving or painting begins, changes aren't possible since each layer builds on the last. If I don't hear back within 5 business days of sending the sketch, I'll assume it's approved and continue with the work so the queue keeps moving.
Do you create portraits of pets other than dogs and cats?
Of course. Still Creature is for all creatures. I'd love to hear about your rabbit, bird, guinea pig, horse, lizard, or any other companion who has found a place in your heart 🧡
Will my portrait look exactly like the reference photo?
Not exactly. While I strive to capture your companion's likeness, expression, and personality as accurately as possible, each piece is interpreted through my own artistic style. The result is a handcrafted artwork inspired by your photo, rather than a direct reproduction of it.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet — orders currently ship within the United States only. International shipping may open in the future; if you're outside the US and interested, feel free to write to me so I know there's demand.
Can I return or cancel my order?
Because each portrait is custom-made and created specifically for you, returns and refunds are generally not accepted once work has begun. If your artwork arrives damaged or there is an issue with your order, please contact me within 3 days of delivery and I'll do my best to make things right.
